No falling needles is a benefit, and I remind myself of that almost daily now!
karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02387141835879842596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7956489623554999361.post-80274049959713754552013-12-18T18:24:17.674-05:002013-12-18T18:24:17.674-05:00When we moved down to Florida after retirement, I ...When we moved down to Florida after retirement, I swore that I would only have a real tree (used to have a fake one that had a coating on it which made me sick each time I put it up so got rid of it.) Anyway I found a place in New Hampshire that sold trees on the internet, guaranteeing that they would be cut just before being sent to us. Well that worked for a few years but then I realized that the trees where lasting for a shorter time each year with the needles falling out earlier and earlier. I finally opted for another fake tree three hears ago. I made the decision because I read that the water at the base of a live tree became toxic from dropping needles into the water basin and I knew that would be dangerous for our new springer puppy. Now I can leave the tree up as long as need be and no falling needles. Not as good as a live one but suits us now.Diannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08249874735043959774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7956489623554999361.post-50092194391643103792013-12-16T04:44:28.999-05:002013-12-16T04:44:28.999-05:00Had a fabulous comment from Amanda, who informs me...Had a fabulous comment from Amanda, who informs me that Billa on the Zattere is selling live trees about 4 feet tall in pots at 12 Euros. She's offered to help me carry one home if I do the same for her.

Thanks, Amanda! We have our fake 8 ft tall tree up in the living room already.
FYI- I could not delete your phone number from your original post, so am noting it in this way. Thanks again!karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02387141835879842596noreply@blogger.com
